Your dedicated instance collects and stores raw security data. Your team uses the console to review selected summaries.
1. Agree what to monitor
We review your sources and confirm what can be collected. Vendor-plan requirements, permissions and the agreed service scope determine the setup.
2. Set up your dedicated instance
Sheer Safe sets up and maintains a security instance for your organization. The hosting region is agreed during onboarding.
3. Connect approved sources
Your admins create the required read-only grants. Secrets are encrypted in the browser for your instance. AWS uses a read-only role, with no long-lived access key to paste. Sensors on the instance have their own setup path.
4. Verify collection
Confirm source health and that the expected events are arriving. Some vendor settings or services must be enabled separately.
5. Review the shared picture
The instance runs collection and detection. The console receives selected summaries so your team can follow alerts, incidents and source health with Sheer Safe.
Who does what
Sheer Safe manages: dedicated-instance provisioning, maintenance and the contracted monitoring workflow.
Your organization manages: vendor access approvals, source permissions, account changes and the business decisions needed during investigations.
Agreed before setup: source coverage, service hours, escalation contacts, response responsibilities, retention and commercial terms.
What to have ready
A list of sources, a vendor administrator who can grant read-only access, a work email for console access and the people who should receive security communications.
