Terms of Use

1. The service

SheerSight is a multi-tenant security observability platform. It collects, normalizes and triages detection signals from your connected sources and presents them in a single console. Features may change as the product evolves.

2. Access and accounts

Access is granted by invitation and provisioned by us. Login is protected by Cloudflare Access with multi-factor authentication. You are responsible for the activity of the identities you authorize and for keeping your access credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the service unlawfully; attempt to access another tenant's data or circumvent isolation, authentication or rate controls; probe, scan or load-test the service without our written consent (see our Security page for responsible disclosure); reverse engineer the service except as permitted by law; or resell or provide the service to third parties without a separate agreement.

4. Your data and security

You retain all rights to your data. We process the telemetry your environment sends us solely to provide and improve the service. By design, your credentials are encrypted in your browser and we relay only ciphertext, so we do not hold your secrets. Our security architecture and the guarantees we hold ourselves to are described on our Security page.

5. Availability

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but except where a separate written service-level agreement applies, the service is provided on an "as available" basis. We may perform maintenance and may modify or discontinue features.

6. Fees

Any fees, and whether the service is provided on its own or bundled with a consulting engagement, are as set out in your order or engagement agreement with us. Where no fee is stated, use is subject to these terms and any applicable trial or program conditions.

7. Intellectual property

The SheerSight software, console, documentation and marks are owned by Sheer Safe Pvt Ltd and its licensors. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; no other rights are granted.

8. Disclaimers

SheerSight helps you detect and triage security signals; it does not guarantee that every threat will be detected or prevented. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts paid by you for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim (or, where the service is provided at no charge, a nominal amount).

10. Term and termination

These terms apply while you use the service. Either party may terminate in accordance with any governing agreement, or we may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. On termination we revoke your console access and your instance agents; data handling on exit follows your engagement agreement and our documented offboarding process.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any disputes, without prejudice to any mandatory rights under applicable local law.
